| Bio: | I realized that (a) I am intensely bored at work today and (b) I have not updated this sucker in a while, so here goes: Born in Wausau, Wisconsin; also lived in Illinois, Tennessee, Louisiana, Nebraska, Florida, South Carolina and Georgia. Yes, yes, it's all very exciting. Educational and Professional Background: Southern Illinois University (magna cum laude -- latin for "very smart, but not as smart as those 'summa cum laude' assholes"), B.A., political science with history minor, recovering member of Tri Sigma sorority and "Outstanding Sorority Woman of the Year" (those who really know me realize how damn funny that is) J.D., University of Tennessee (law review editorial board, moot court board, perfect attendance at beer-serving functions, voted "Most Likely to Say 'If You Don't Get Paid, I Don't Get Paid' in at Television Commercial" by my classmates) Currently practicing law in Atlanta, Georgia, and hoping some day to get it right. Familial information: Married (again). I'm an orphan as of 2003 and my oldest brother died in 2001, leaving me with only an idiot brother who lives in Nashville. Do not cry for me Livejournal, I'm doing swell. I'm a recovering Republican turned Libertarian who has lost the ability to discuss this current administration in any objective fashion (read this as "starts to twitch, drool, and sob quietly when discussing politics"). Currently a member of Chimpsauce Improv (CSI) improv comedy group in Atlanta the ome of Cineprov!(www.myspace.com/cineprov!). Before that, I was a member of Einstein Simplified in Knoxville, Tennessee (www.einsteinsimplified.com), and while they are very cool, they are somewhat less cool since I left. I'm a geek who has accepted this about herself and celebrates it. I used to love Star Trek and Star Wars, but they both suck now and I have moved on. Loving the Heroes, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, and my new and greatest favorite, Reaper. I miss Buffy, Angel and my dear love Firefly almost painfully; good television is really hard to come by, and if you dismissed either show because it was about vampires, space cowboys or a chick named Buffy, you have denied yourself one of television's great pleasures. Friend recommended the Harry Potter series to me, and thanks to her I am firmly addicted to it as well. Dragoncon (www.dragoncon.org) is my New Year's, Christmas, and birthday all in one weekend. In another part of my life, I'm actually a really good trial lawyer who can play professional when paid the right fee. | |
